Recovery Analytics and Account Scoring

Paragon scores every charged-off account before it is placed. For each account we estimate what it will collect, when, and at what cost, by state, with and without a suit, then route it to the channel that nets the most: agency, legal or sale. Our models draw on 25 years of litigation, legal-strategy and payment outcome data, and they power one partner that runs your entire post-charge-off recovery.

What every account gets

A recommended recovery channel, a 5-year liquidation curve, expected legal cost and cost to collect, a probability score and an expected recovery amount.

Suit-worthiness scoring

The models find accounts that can pay but won’t, and flag accounts that are disqualified from legal action in their jurisdiction, so court costs go only where they pay back.

Keep or sell

When selling beats working an account, the scoring shows it, so the decision rests on net numbers rather than a single bid.

Models that keep learning

Accounts are re-scored as payments and legal results come in, and model accuracy is checked against actual performance.

Frequently asked questions

What is a liquidation curve?

A forecast of how much of a portfolio will be collected each month after placement. We build 5-year curves by channel, so you can see when cash arrives, not only how much.

What is propensity-to-pay scoring?

A score that estimates how likely an account is to pay and how much. We combine it with suit-worthiness and state cost data to pick the channel for each account.

How do you decide which accounts are worth suing?

We compare expected recovery with the full cost of a suit in that state, using decades of litigation and payment outcomes, and only recommend a suit when the numbers support it.

Can we test the models on our own accounts?

Yes. Send closed accounts with state, zip, balance and charge-off date. We show what each would have collected, when and at what cost. You know the real results, so you can grade us. Scoring is free.

Grade us on your own file

Send state, zip, balance and charge-off date. We will show what each account would collect, when and at what cost, by state, with and without a suit.
